Manchester Central

Opened by the Cheshire Lines Committee in 1880, Manchester Central station closed to rail traffic in 1969. The listed building was eventually reborn as the G-Mex exhibition and conference centre in 1986. The former station is shown here on 7 July 2008 having been renamed Manchester Central earlier this year.
