Cromer High

A century ago, this desolate scene was Cromer (High) station, a major terminus and the destination of prestigious non-stop expresses from London Liverpool Street. Pictured here in May 1976, the poorly-sited station eventually closed to passengers in 1954 and to all traffic in 1960. The view today is of housing.
