Bathgate Lower
The site of Bathgate Lower station in March 2008 looking south east towards the town centre. The 1856 station closed to passengers in 1930 but the line itself continued in use for freight traffic until closure of the nearby Easton Colliery in 1973. Burnside level crossing once occupied the grassy area nearest the camera, with the station footbridge and platforms located immediately beyond.
