Appleby
Two Class 158s head north from Appleby on a Leeds-Carlisle service on 29th January 2016. Ten days later the line was closed at Armathwaite due to a landslip that progressively worsened. Freight services have been diverted and passenger trains from the south terminate at Appleby with onward connections to Carlisle by bus. [See recent news item]
