Powderhall

The original (and slightly spooky) refuse disposal works building seen looking west along Broughton Road, Powderhall, in March 2004. The building was originally dubbed The Destructor. Part of the modern waste processing and disposal facilities can just be seen to the rear. The bricked-up gateway in the wall on the right once led down to the platforms of Powderhall station, an area now used as a loading apron and siding by the Binliner. See image 11948
