Class 385 electrics were also running on this service by this date, too. At the south end of this station, on the right  in the distance across the intervening road, is the bus station labelled as Galashiels Interchange and offering onward transportation to now railway-less towns like Peebles, Selkirk, Melrose and Hawick.
