Rail power failure 'costs Welsh economy millions' [WalesOnline]

THE Welsh economy is likely to have lost “millions” as a result of the power failure that caused chaos on railways across South Wales yesterday, according to business leaders. Train services were decimated for most of the day after a power surge at 7.08am blew out the fuses of Cardiff Central station’s signal box and the standby back-up generator.
