A NAMEPLATE from a 1930s Great Western Railway steam locomotive is set to fetch up to £18,000 at auction. Torquay Manor was built at the Swindon Works in about 1937.

The shed yard at Aberystwyth in the summer of 1962. 7823 Hook Norton Manor carries the headboard of the Cambrian Coast Express, during a period when the locomotive's home shed was at Machynlleth. Standing alongside is no 3200, a long term Cambrian lines locomotive.

Ex-GWR 4-6-0 no 7807 Compton Manor photographed on shed at Chester (West) thought to be in the late 1950s. The Swindon built 4-6-0 was eventually withdrawn from 89C Machynlleth in November 1964 and cut up at Cashmore's, Great Bridge, three months later.
