Transpennine unit 185141 is heading for Liverpool at Stalybridge, which will mean a left turn for Guide Bridge and Piccadilly just beyond the platform. A Virgin Trains Manchester - Birmingham - Brighton service crosses the Grand Union Canal via Mitre Bridge on the West London Line in July 2005. The train has travelled from Birmingham via Oxford, Reading and the Great Western main line, and reached the southbound West London Line via Acton East Junction, Acton Wells Junction, West London Junction and Mitre Bridge Junction.
