Scots pressure group behind rail link campaign [Inverness Courier]

A NATIONAL transport pressure group has endorsed The Inverness Courier’s campaign to save direct train services between London and the Highland Capital.

The 0755 National Express East Coast Inverness - London Kings Cross 'Highland Chieftain' runs east through Edinburgh Park on 30 April, two minutes ahead of its scheduled arrival time of 1108 at Haymarket. The train has just passed between the under - construction bridge supports that will eventually carry the tram route to Edinburgh Airport over the line.
