180106 at Blackpool North on 7th January 2009 waiting to form a service to Manchester Victoria. One of the latest additions to the Northern fleet, it was cascaded to Northern when First Great Western took them off lease.

The 0953 Northern York - Hull service crosses the River Ouse at Selby on 29 September 2008 shortly after leaving the station. The train is about to run onto the 'swing' span of the bridge. Note the tall 'traffic lights' used by shipping on the Ouse.
