'Harry Potter' thief is jailed [Lancaster Guardian]

A Lancaster man has been jailed for a year after carrying out thefts at the home of Harry Potter's Hogwarts Express. Neal Currie, together with three accomplices from Lancashire and Manchester, targeted the Steamtown depot, near Carnforth, where the locomotive used in the Harry Potter films is housed. The Windermere branch loco hauled shuttles continue and have seen a variety of West Coast traction. On 28th June two Class 57s were provided and 57316 is seen taking the three empty coaches past Carnforth signal box down to the loops for reversal. 57314 was on the rear.
