Station gets parking spaces boost [Evening News]

A £620,000 extension of the station car park at Musselburgh has been completed with the addition of 93 new spaces. Transport Scotland said the work would allow more people to switch to public transport. The extension takes the total number of spaces to 119 at Musselburgh.

The 0600 Birmingham New Street - Glasgow Central CrossCountry Voyager runs north from Monktonhall Junction on 19 July 2018. The train will pass through Musselburgh station on the other side of the bridge on Whitehill Farm Road from which the photograph was taken. Climbing alongside to the right is the overgrown trackbed of the former freight only route to Wanton Walls, which passed through an adjacent bridge, at a higher level [see image 29561].
