Ayr Station Hotel on 9th January 2024, viewed from the south. Definitely another section has gone with the debris piled below. As I then walked up the west side the machine simply tore down another large section of the west elevation wall and the scaffolding. No pretence at saving the materials for a reconstruction.

Ayr Station Hotel on 19th December 2023. The whole south end has now gone. The nibbler was tearing down the scaffolding with Network Rail employees watching the lines. The shuttle to Prestwick Town was cancelled due to high winds affecting the building.
