Rutherglen residents to be without Sunday train service for nearly two months [Daily Record]

The service will stop so engineering works can go ahead. It means Rutherglen, Dalmarnock, Bridgeton, Glasgow Central Low Level and Exhibition Centre stations will be served by a limited replacement bus service instead.

A Whifflet service calls at Rutherglen on 19 May. I've never quite got used to the M74 appearing above the station some years ago, but it has to be said there is surprisingly little traffic noise.

Looking west along the platforms at Argyle Street on 8 September 2018. Colour schemes have come and gone, but the stations retains the yellow wall panels it has had since it opened in 1979. I imagine they are seen to cheer the place up.
