Although many tracks have been lifted at Mirfield three lines survive and they all serve station platforms. TPE 185141 hurries away from the camera non stop towards Heaton Lodge Junction where it will bear left for Huddersfield and Manchester A stopping service formed by 155344 can just be seen standing at the island platform with an eastbound service. This view was taken from the replacement Platform3 , a location where westbound stopping trains are often held while a TPE overtakes.
