A campaign is underway to improve connectivity to Bideford through a more prominent place in the national rail network and support is coming in from across the community.

The abandoned station at Bideford following track lifting in 1985. The station had closed to passengers in 1965 although the line had continued in use for freight traffic until 1982. The site is now the Bideford Railway Heritage Centre. See image [[19745]].
