'Progress' Pendolino 390119 cannot be mistaken for any other train in the Avanti fleet. The multi-coloured set is seen approaching Hampson Lane bridge heading from Euston to Glasgow on 27th July 2021. The Pendolinos are approaching twenty years service and it was announced in July that 390125 had gone to Alstom at Widnes as the first of the intensively worked fleet to receive a planned overhaul. This £117m project will see them all fully modernised but also the 11-car sets are having a first class coach reclassified to create extra seats.
