Sometimes, however, the smaller schemes repay attention, and one such occurred during the early months of lockdown last year in the leafy Edinburgh suburb of Murrayfield.

Edinburgh City Council has commenced repairs to Coltbridge Viaduct, which until 1967 carried the Leith North branch across the Water of Leith and is now the Roseburn Railway Path and the potential tram route to Granton.
