Scotland's £10m answer to New York Highline opens to public outside Glasgow at Bowling Harbour [Glasgow Live]

The 'Bowline' was created using a disused railway viaduct, and has created a new linear park connecting to the National Cycle network. [The trackbed of the former Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway/CR/LMS crosses over the Forth and Clyde Canal, open railway (the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway/NBR/LNER) and A814 in quick succession. -RS]

Bowling Swing Bridge has been cleaned and repainted. All the former Caledonian viaducts through Bowling are being converted into a new walkway. In addition the customs house building is being restored and units rebuilt in the arches under the western approach to the swing bridge.
