Built by the Edinburgh & Leith Gas Commissioners in 1902 for the use of headquarters staff and still displaying the appropriate corporate seals on the front of the building. What is now an arched window in the centre of the upper floor originally provided access to an integral footbridge which crossed various lines and sidings to reach the works. The building will be retained as part of the Waterfront Development with various alternative uses currently being considered.
