New 'distinctive' entrance and outdoor plaza planned for Queen Street station [Glasgow Live]

A new extension housing retail, food and beverage outlets also forms part of the plans for the further redevelopment of the station submitted by Network Rail. [RS note: This design does not appear to allow for the opening of additional platforms outside the trainshed such as the former platforms 8 and 9 which served locations including Kirkintilloch and Dunfermline.]
