Canal Street Station [Transport Trust]

A 'Red Wheel' was unveiled at the former Canal Street Station on the 16th of August 2019 to recognise the heritage of the site. The Glasgow, Paisley and Ardrossan Canal was designed by Thomas Telford and included the longest aqueduct span of the canal era. Opened 1811, converted to a railway in 1885, closed 1983, partially re-opened 1990.
