Rail services severely disrupted due to engineering works [BBC News]

Rail services have been severely affected across Scotland due to a piece of machinery breaking down overnight. Earlier, there were no trains running in or out of Glasgow Queen Street high level station, however, the line has now reopened. ScotRail warned that the disruption could continue until 10:00. The breakdown happened during overnight engineering work. Services between Glasgow and Edinburgh were affected, among others. Replacement buses have been put in place.
