Train forced to make emergency stop after it hits object on track [STV]

A passenger train had to make an emergency stop when it hit an object on the track as it travelled across the Tay Rail Bridge. The East Coast vehicle came to a halt on the Dundee to Fife crossing after striking a piece of metal grating on the track at around 7.35pm on Wednesday.
