NCB no 29 moves to Shed 47 for restoration work [Railscot]

The Barclay pug (NCB No 29) latterly on display in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, was today [18 October] lifted off its length of track and transported to the Shed 47 Railway Restoration Group's site within the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum at Lathalmond. The pug will be externally refurbished and repainted over the next few months before returning to the park to be put back on display. At Lathalmond it will be temporariy reunited with sister locomotive NCB no 17, which is steadily being restored to working order. Transport and restoration of No 29 has been funded and arranged by Fife Council, with the restoration work being carried out by Shed 47 Group. [From Grant Robertson]
