Opened on the Morriston Loop (Swansea Vale Railway).

02/10/1871	Morriston Loop (Swansea Vale Railway) Opened from Upper Bank to Morriston. Morriston was named for John Morris of the Forest Copper Works.
01/03/1875	Morriston Loop (Swansea Vale Railway) Extended from Morriston to Glais. On completion of the loop passenger trains were diverted onto the new route.
