![Having deposited passengers off the <I>Melton Mowbray Pieman</I> on 24 July 1977, 56008 is about to take the empty stock to Nottingham. Tour participants, having been handed a pork pie, were then bussed to Stapleford Park for a day's amusement and rejoined the train in the early evening at Leicester for the return to Barnsley. (Railscot note: The 'ripple-effect' or 'badger's bum' finish on the locomotive panels identifies this as one of the 30 examples of the class built for BR by Electroputere in Romania [see image 20227]) <br>

![170117 passes Melton Station signalbox on 27 September as it approaches the platform with the 1522 Arriva XC Birmingham New Street - Stanstead Airport service. To the west of here is the junction with the former line to Nottingham, the southern part of which is still in use today as the Alstom test track. <br>
