Name and dates

Glenlochsie Lodge (1920-1978)

Opened on the Dalmunzie Railway.

Description

This was the northern terminus of the narrow gauge Dalmunzie Railway line from Dalmunzie Lodge. The line ran up Glen Lochsie and featured a zig-zag to gain height.

There were few facilities at Glenlochsie, just a low platform. The lodge was nearby, across a bridge over the Allt Clais Bheag.

The platform remains today, the lodge is now a ruin.
