Location type

Station

Name and dates

Drumcudden (1915-1915)

Opened on the Cromarty and Dingwall Light Railway.

Description

This station was never completed and not opened. It was intended to have a platform, waiting room, siding with a loading bank and house.

Construction was abandoned in 1915.

Permanent way never reached this location from Cromarty but the trackbed was at least partly prepared with fencing and bridges on either side, continuing west for a further two miles.

The location of Drumcudden is to the north with Ellan Vannin just to the south of the trackbed. When the station was promoted there was an inn and post office.
