This colliery was south east of the later Trethomas station. A siding, serving the colliery, made a trailing connection to the westbound line of the Brecon and Methyr Railway (formerly Rumney Railway). From the sidings tramways ran south west to the drift mine and beyond to other shafts and Cwm-y-glo Colliery.
