Clifton Viaduct (1846-1966)
Opened on the East Lancashire Railway.
This is a disused thirteen arch double track viaduct north of Clifton Junction [Station] [Manchester] which crosses the Manchester Bolton and Bury Canal and the River Irwell.
The viaduct is disused. To the north west the former track bed is a footpath, part of the Irwell Sculpture Trail, as far as the short lived Ringley Road station at Outwood.
