Description

This station was located at the east end of the double track section from Barnard Castle [2nd], going east the line to Fawcett Junction was single. It was a single platform station (on the north side of the line) which was private between 1856 and 1942. To the west of the platform the line doubled and there were goods sidings on the north side, approached from the west. The station's signal box was north of the sidings.

A railway cottage, rebuilt, remains to the north of the site of the platform.
