Applehaigh Lane Goods (1870-1882)

Opened on the Barnsley Coal Railway (South Yorkshire Railway).

Description

A goods yard north of Royston with Notton to the north. The terminus of a goods and minerals only line north from Barnsley. Applehaigh quarry was located nearby.

Opened in 1870 and closed around 1882 when the line was extended on by the Nostell Line (Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway) and terminus abandoned.
