Pitlurg: The site of Pitlurg station on the Boddam branch, closed to passengers in 1932 and goods in 1948. This April 2025 view looks towards Ellon with the minor road climbing to cross the line, although the old bridge has gone and been filled in. The green mound in the foreground is roughly where the northbound platform was, with two sidings fanning out from that point to behind the camera. A home on the far side of the station site appears to be the old Station House, but greatly enlarged.

Glenfarg Viaduct: This is the east side of the Glenfarg Viaduct seen in a view looking north. The viaduct carried the North British's line over the B996 and the River Farg before the line plunged into the southern of two tunnels. There were many engineering features on the line between Mawcarse Junction and Bridge of Earn, such as deep cuttings, but the bridges in Glen Farg and the two tunnels really show the company's commitment to building a main line worthy of the investment in the Forth Bridge and resulted in a vastly improved Edinburgh to Perth route.
