Loughborough Central: 37714 in ex-works condition on the modern GCR in April 2025. I used to see this loco often in South Wales - I believe it was then called 'Cardiff Canton'.

Parson's Tunnel: 47817, in large logo livery, heads out of Parson's Tunnel, Dawlish working the 1105 Paddington to Penzance service in the days of hauled trains. The sun is not out sadly but when it is, there is a limited time early afternoon before the shot becomes shadowed by the high cliffs. One of the classic locations to photograph trains in Devon back in the day before fences and growth prevented it.

North Acton: The traditional platform canopies at North Acton are seen to good effect as a Central Line service to Ealing Broadway calls on 11th March 2025.

West Brompton: 378269, London Overground, Stratford to Clapham Junction, departing from West Brompton, at 12.30 on Monday, 17th February 2025. This station is an interchange with the London Underground District Line Wimbledon branch whose platforms are out of view on the left.

Irlam: A shot of a freight, possibly an 8F, taken in poor light with a basic camera in November 1967 near Irlam. The train is heading from Skelton Junction to join the CLC Manchester - Liverpool mainline at Irlam Easy Junction, destination not known. Beyond the train can be seen the bridge which crossed the Manchester Ship Canal.

Beeston: A colourful scene at Beeston in April 2025, with a 170 for Nottingham on the left, and a Voyager for Luton on the right. The fresh brickwork on the road bridge shows where the steps down from the road to the platforms used to be. The steps are now outboard of the newly installed lifts, one of which can just be seen on the right.

Ruthven Road: The crossing keeper's cottage survives at Ruthven Road, now in use as company offices. Ruthven Road Halt, which served the Ruthvenfield Bleach Works, was beyond the cottage. Facilities were basic, just a platform and a waiting shelter. There was a ground frame for the level crossing's signals.

Perth: 26005, ex-works and on test from Glasgow Works at Perth with 27103 on 2nd June 1982. This was the 1255hrs Perth to Glasgow Queen Street service. Tony knew what was 'going on' amd this was the service to watch for ex-works on test locos. 26005 was not a common passenger loco but more a freight Class 26, usually to be found working MGR services from Millerhill.
