Achnasheen: An eastbound 158 unit crosses the 2007 'Great Britain' railtour during the water stop at Achnasheen. The locomotive in charge of the railtour was K4 2-6-0 61994 'The Great Marquess'.

Southampton Central: Just west of Southampton Central is a footbridge that gives good views of the railway. 70010 is passing with the 4O14 0639hrs Crewe to Southampton intermodal service on 14th August 2024. We are looking towards the main Southampton Central Station.

Elderslie: A DMU from Kilmacolm to Glasgow St Enoch is passing through Elderslie Station on 17 August 1963 and is made up of a Metro Cammell unit and a Cravens unit.

Uffington: BR Standard 7MT 4-6-2 70000 'Britannia', westbound at Uffington hauling a special from Paddington to Bath Spa. Rep. No 1Z46. Not the most direct route. Outward via High Wycombe, Princes Risborough, the new curve at Bicester, Oxford, Didcot West Jct. and then Swindon onto Bath. Going well, though 20 mins late @ 1333, on 22nd August 2024

Gleneagles: View looking north at the infilled cutting where the Crieff branch approaches the farm bridge at Easthill, between Auchterarder and Tullibardine stations. See image [[75283]] for a wintry equivalent taken from a railbus in the 1960s. Today, heading out of Auchterarder, there is no official footpath but Easthill Road can be followed.
