Hampstead Heath: London Overground units 378231 to Stratford and 378205 to Richmond pass at Hampstead Heath at 14.02 on Saturday, 9th March 2024.
Lindsay Colliery Pits Nos 4 and 5: The last part of the West of Fife Railway and Harbour, from Lassodie Mill Colliery (also known as Viewfield) to Kelty, was opened in 1863 by the North British Railway after their take over of the company in 1862. This completed a largely single track mineral only secondary line stretching all the way from Dunfermline to Kelty which served a series of coal mines. This view looks north west to the site of Kelty station from the Great North Road bridge which crossed the mineral line. Behind the camera, and across the road, were Lindsay Pits (No 4 and 5). The substation in the background was by Kelty station.
Bath Green Park [2nd]: You can't park your car under the train shed at the moment because they are fixing the roof. Good to see the station being looked after.
Inveraray Pier: TS 'Duchess of Montrose' at Inveraray in 1964, her final year of service.
Fort William: The headlight of 67011 is bright, or so it seems, on the stock of the 1950hrs to Euston, not long before departure from Fort William on 17th March 2016.
Oban: 156447 draws away from Oban with a service for Glasgow Queen Street in 2002.
Ayr Station Hotel: An update showing the Ayr Station Hotel as of today - working on the last (northmost) gable. The platforms can be seen on the right.
Gospel Oak: 378212, approaching Gospel Oak with a London Overground service (soon to be called the Mildmay Line) to Stratford, at 14.31 on Saturday, 17th February 2024. There were no trains westbound from here on this day so this train, after arriving from Stratford, terminated before going forward a short distance towards Hampstead Heath to reverse and return to the eastbound platform for its next service back. The line diverging to the right is to Barking Riverside.
