London Waterloo: Rebuilt Bulleid 4-6-2 34077 '603 Squadron' with a Sunday morning working from Bournemouth approaches London Waterloo in early 1967. At platform is a fast for Portsmouth Harbour, comprised of 4-COR units.
Seymour Junction: 58035 runs light from Barrow Hill to Seymour yard in 1989. It is seen here at the west end awaiting acceptance into the yard at Seymour Junction.
Beddgelert: Having descended from the spectacular Pass of Aberglaslyn and now on the Welsh Highland Railway, a charter train from Blaenau Ffestiniog on the Ffestiniog Railway to Caernarfon, hauled by WHR No.143, is crossing the Afon Glaslyn on the approach to Beddgelert, on 6th April 2019.
Rumbling Bridge [1st]: Looking east to Crook of Devon from a little east of Rumbling Bridge. The line ran up from the bottom of the photograph, taking a gentle curve to the right. The cutting here has been infilled and railway landscaped, but something can still be seen of its course.
Abbotsbury: The remains of Abbotsbury station in September 1962. It closed in 1952 with the track lifted in 1955. This building was demolished in the 1960s with a house constructed in its place.
Penistone: An unidentified pair of BR Gorton Works built Woodhead line Class EM1 Bo-Bo 1500V DC electric locos work west through Penistone Station with loaded Merry Go Round coal wagons heading for Fiddlers Ferry Power Station near Widnes on 4 December 1976. In the distance can be seen the approaching Wirral Railway Circle's 'Great Central' railtour hauled by a pair of Class 24 diesel loco's. See image [[80388]]
Rannoch: A photograph dating from 1977, with a northbound West Highland Line service approaching Rannoch behind two Class 27 diesels. 27037 waits in the foreground to continue its journey south across Rannoch Moor.
Polkemmet Country Park: Step this way. Formerly employed at nearby Polkemmet Colliery, Andrew Barclay 0-6-0ST 1175 of 1909, on display in Polkemmet Country Park, Whitburn, West Lothian on 23 September 2013. The locomotive carries the nameplate 'Dardanelles'. See image [[44816]].
Birkenhead Park: 777012 calls at Birkenhead Park heading towards Liverpool on 4th October 2023. The sculptures on the platform are a nice feature at an otherwise unremarkable station.
Aynho: There used to be a steady stream of coal passing Aynho for Didcot Power Station. 58016 passes the old station buildings at Aynho in 1985. Someone has a well tended garden.
