Todholes Siding: A view east at the site of Todholes Siding on the Caledonian Railway's Dolphinton Branch. The siding was on the right here, approached from behind the camera. There was a short headshunt. Dunsyre Hill is in the distance.
Highbury and Islington: 378141 arrives at Highbury and Islington on 25th January 2023, with an Overground service from East Croydon.
Exminster: 45010 passes Exminster with 1V85, the 1040 Manchester to Paignton, in 1977. The old station building is on the left [[19523]]. The former D112 was in service for a further eight years. Along with many other 'Peaks' it was cut up by MC Metals in Glasgow in 1989.
Enns Gorge: On a very wet August morning in 1970, an OBB Class 52 2-10-0 hurries tender first through the gorge of the River Enns, between Hieflau and Admont, in Austria's Styrian Alps.

Tay Viaduct [Perth]: Scotrail 170 crossing the Tay Viaduct, between Barnhill and Perth, on 30th January 2023.
Scorton [Lancashire] [2nd]: The first new Hitachi hybrid for Avanti West Coast, 805001, made a first test or training run from Oxley to Glasgow Central and back on 6th February 2023. The unliveried set is seen passing Scorton heading north with the run scheduled to be repeated daily that week. Thirteen of these five car units are scheduled to replace the Voyagers this year and will be maintained at Oxley.
Wembley Park: Two trains of LU 1996 stock on Jubilee Line services to Stratford (left) and Stanmore at Wembley Park on New Years Day afternoon 2023. Cross-platform interchange in both directions is afforded here with the LU Metropolitan Line. Chiltern Line trains from Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway pass by on parallel lines but with no platforms, outside the station on the far right

Bowling Harbour: Bowling Harbour, seen from the west, showing the wreck of the MV Sulby River and other hulks on 18 October 2022. The western breakwater, planned in 1846, was completed in 1856 by the Clyde Navigation Trust, just after Frisky Wharf (out of shot to left) was opened alongside the Bowling station terminus of 1850. Entry to the Forth and Clyde Canal is at the far end of the harbour.

Mallaig Junction: On board a Glasgow to Mallaig service in 1965, not long after leaving Fort William. An incoming service from Mallaig has just come off the single track and is approaching Mallaig Junction, while the photographer's train is no doubt either stopped or ambling slowly towards the home signal, awaiting the single line token before proceeding westwards.
Carnforth: 66606 and box wagons, running from Hardendale to Guide Bridge, pass through the disused main line platforms at Carnforth on 26th January 2023. A popular and well stocked model railway shop is one of the businesses occupying the station buildings.
