Coplawhill Tram Depot: The onetime Glasgow Corporation Transport Albert Drive Tram Depot, still standing on 10 January 2019, well mostly as there seems to have been a little demolition at the west end. After closure as a tram depot the building went on to house the city's transport museum before it moved to the Kelvin Hall. Today the building seems to house the Tramway theatre. [[Pollokshields East]] station is behind the camera.

Newcraighall South Junction: A morning service on the Borders line approaching Newcraighall station from the Shawfair direction in the summer of 2017. The train has just entered the single line section at Newcraighall South Junction and is about to pass the recently lifted turnback siding, once used by trains terminating at Newcraighall. In the background is the Biogen Recycling plant and, beyond that, construction work is underway on the new Recycling and Energy Recovery Centre.

Portessie [GNSR]: Photographed at the former Portessie station with sounds of the sea in the background? Would be nice but unfortunately the station is gone without trace and, thanks to lockdown, I can't get within 150 miles of the Moray coast. Luckily there is a little bit of it in an Edinburgh garden. The seatback sign appears to be original but the bench isn't.

Linlithgow: The ex-12.05 service from Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street, in the hands of 170429, departing from a snowy Linlithgow station on a bleak and freezing cold 16th March 2019. Class 385 electrics were also running on this service by this date, too. I first visited this station in 2016 so I was glad to see it before the OLE went up.

Crossbarry: Crossbarry, formerly Kinsale Junction looking east to Ballinhassig and Cork from a former level crossing. There were originally four tracks here heading east, although three were sidings. Crossbarry was opened in 1863 and closed in 1961 although the Kinsale branch closed much earlier in 1931. The station was quite inconveniently sited for the village of Crossbarry, being a fair walk to the east.

Sessay: Grab shot over the car, looking north easterly, of an unidentified Hitachi built 5-coach Bi-Mode EMU running on electric power on the up fast line south of Thirsk working the 13.43 ex Newcastle Transpennine Express service to Liverpool Lime Street on 24th March 2021. It will have to change over to diesel power in York for the run thereon through to Manchester; although, as of April 2021, electrification is currently being extended from Colton Junction to Church Fenton. Bridges were modified some 5+ years ago, as far as the latter station, before work was paused on the remainder of the un-electrified route, through Garforth to Osmondthorpe by Neville Hill TMD, and allow services to run on electric between York and Leeds stations; and the route through Leeds able to be used as a fully electrified diversion route for ECML workings over the section of line north of Doncaster to York.
