Grahamston Swing Bridge: Half a mile west of Falkirk Grahamston the line crosses the Forth and Clyde Canal on Grahamston Swing Bridge (a fixed bridge since the early 1960s). Photograph taken looking north east along the canal on 2 January 2013 with an Edinburgh - Dunblane DMU about to make the crossing. The waterfall is courtesy of the overflow from Camelon Railway Lock (No 9) located 50 yards beyond the bridge (see image [[41594]]).
Eglinton Street: A Carstairs bound DMU about to run south through Eglinton Street station on 17 July 1962, just a few minutes after commencing its journey from Glasgow Central.
Drumchapel: A Balloch service calls at Drumchapel in April 1998. The Class 320 seems to have been recently outshopped in the newish SPT livery. The early electronic banner repeater looks rather crude by today's standards and has quite a few dud cells.
Kepwick Quarry: Kepwick Quarry, North Yorkshire, in 1989. This former limestone quarry was connected in 1833 to kilns at Leake, three and a half miles away. There was a self-acting incline from the mouth of the quarry, in the centre of the photograph, to the valley floor where horses took over. The tramway closed around sixty years later.
Euxton Balshaw Lane: 769442 out on a test run passes Euxton Balshaw Lane on 4 March 2021. The EDMU was on the return trip to Springs Branch, Wigan having travelled to Blackpool North earlier in the morning and was running on the diesel power packs.
Riverside Museum: Glasgow Corporation experimental single-decker Pullman tramcar no. 1089, dating from 1926, generally known as 'Baillie Burt's Car' on display in the Riverside Museum, Glasgow on 18th May 2016.
Perth: Standard 2-6-4T 80092 on station pilot duty at Perth on 29th August 1964.
Halton [NWR]: The old railway from Lancaster is a nicely surfaced cycle track and footpath through the old Halton and Caton station sites almost to Claughton. From Lancaster the line closely follows the River Lune for five miles and this elevated section to the north of Halton station is very popular. Patriots from Lancaster's Green Ayre shed would haul expresses to Leeds along this scenic line, and it even saw Peak diesels before the 1966 closure. View towards Caton on 19th February 2021.
Crianlarich: First Scotrail liveried Super Sprinter 156474 runs into Crianlarich Upper station on the rear of a twin 156 working from Mallaig and Fort William to Glasgow in June 2013
