Pickering: At Costa Beck, to the east of Pickering on the Helmsley line, there was both a level crossing and just to the east of this a bridge over the Costa Beck. See image [[75561]]. This view is looking south east to the crossing keeper's cottage in November 2019. The line ran where the picnic table and chairs are sitting.

Trafford Bar [Tram]: The former MSJ&A street level station building at Trafford Bar in May 2017 looking in need of more than a little TLC. Access to the platforms is via ramps on (the outside) either side of the building.

Camelford: Camelford station, on the former North Cornwall Line, seen here abandoned in June 1974. The station closed when the long line from Halwill Junction on the Bude branch to Wadebridge was closed in October 1966. Though the station was some distance from the town of Camelford, it was nevertheless the nearest for the popular coastal beauty spots of Boscastle and Tintagel (where stand the ruins of, allegedly, King Arthur's Castle) and was thus one of the better used stations on the line, especially in summer.

Barrhill: A railway and pastoral scene at Barrhill on a blisteringly hot day in 1989. The view is from the south end of the station.

Grangemouth Oil (Gas) Terminal: The abandoned railway bridge spanning the Grange Burn that once served part of the BP site at Grangemouth, looking west in September 2008. For the view east see image [[8922]]. A gatehouse controlling road access to the site is situated just off to the right but the rail access point is now located further north.

Wilton South: The former Wilton South station, closed in 1966, on the Salisbury to Exeter line, seen here from a passing UK Railtours' excursion from Waterloo through to Kingswear on the Torbay & Dartmouth Railway, reversing at Exeter St. Davids, on 28th June 2014.

Wishaw: Despite appearances the mouldering station building on the Down side at Wishaw was still in use when this photograph was taken in August 1997, though was soon to be demolished. The paintwork looks more like Caledonian blue than BR Scottish Region blue, though even the latter was over 30 years out of date by then.

Axminster: Exterior of Axminster station on 14th June 2014. Just visible on the far left is the new footbridge to the restored up platform. Until 1965, this was the junction for the branch to Lyme Regis, another victim of the Beeching cuts. The building from Lyme Regis station is now at Alresford on the Mid Hants Railway.

Carron: Looking east from the level crossing at Carron in April 1977, with some rails remaining in the roadway. On the left is the station building and further along the platform is the signalbox. The distillery was to the right and behind the photographer.
