Morpeth: Looking south on the A197 at Morpeth in July 2015. The dip in the road and grassy embankment cut back on the right should ring bells for enthusiasts. The NBR line to Scotsgap (see image [[21165]]) used to cross the road here. Passenger services finished in 1952 and complete closure came in 1966.

Glen Falloch Platform: A 37 brings a tour train south from the Glen Falloch Viaduct at the site of Glen Falloch Platform. There is a short rise here so despite the general drop in elevation between Crianlarich and Ardlui the locomotive is working hard, producing a fair amount of exhaust.

Drymen Viaduct: Crossing the Endrick Water on the route of the Forth and Clyde Junction Railway heading north east between Drymen and Gartness in 2007. The line here closed to rail traffic in 1950 but the piers of the old viaduct were subsequently adapted to carry a pipeline across the river in connection with the Loch Lomond Water Supply Scheme, officially launched by HM The Queen in July 1971. The walkway was constructed on top of the pipeline - see image [[16977]].

Leeming Bar: English Electric Type 3 37674 suffered an ignominious time at Christmas 2020, sitting on a trailer in a lay by near Skipton for over a week after being refused access to the Embsay Steam Railway. It was finally taken to Alleleys yard at Studley. 37674 stands in Leeming Bar station in May 2018.

Redford Barracks Branch Canal Bridge: The undersized oval 'plate' on this sole relic of a construction branch is a modern one saying 'Union Canal - Allan Park footbridge'. After a necessarily brief life as a working rail bridge it became useful for pedestrians when the area was developed in the 1930s. It would be a tragedy if the next budding artist lost their footing…

Bermuda Park: A solitary passenger awaits the 12.21 to Leamington Spa at Bermuda Park on 29th December 2020. The light dusting of snow made a nice change.
