Bowling Swing Bridge: View over a crowded canal basin at Bowling at the western end of the Forth and Clyde Canal in June 2010. Running across the centre is the route of the former Lanarkshire & Dumbartonshire Railway which crossed bridges over the canal, a railway and a road here within the space of 250 yards. The bridge over the canal (originally a swing bridge) can be seen on the right (for a closer view see image [[29307]].)

London Road Junction [Edinburgh]: 'Lochend Butterfly' was the name given to the lepidopteraform (my coining) bit of land left behind when all but one of the many lines around here had been lifted. The centre of the butterfly was here, where the Leith Central Branch crossed the Granton line. The bridge has been replaced, hence 'New'. London Road Junction was just south of here
