Lanark: The approach to Lanark station seen in 2000. The goods platform is seen on the left (closed late 1983).
Sheffield Park: Wainwright SE&CR Class P loco 27 (Ex BR 31027) runs through the station at Sheffield Park in July 1969, in the first decade of operations on the Bluebell Railway; which celebrates its 60th Anniversary in August 2020. Unfortunately 27 will not be active in the celebration, as it is presently a kit of parts, some old, some, such as the new longitudinal main frames and cylinder block, being brand new. The owning group are seeking funds to complete the rebuild.
Polmont: A Glasgow to Edinburgh stopper pulls into Polmont on 16th July 2020. There are social distancing reminders on every lamppost but there's no problem spacing out the few passengers, even though numbers are slowly recovering.
Bathgate Central Junction: Winter sunlight catches J36 65243 'Maude', approaching the signalbox for Bathgate Yard, with a trainload of coal from a local colliery on 8th January 1965.

Scorton [Lancashire] [1st]: The setting sun catches the side of a Class 158 as it runs alongside a swollen River Wyre at Scorton on 27th July 2020.
Wellow: Just when I thought I had tracked down every relic of the S&D in the Bath area, I took a wrong turn in July 2020 and found this viaduct just north of Wellow station. Notice that the up side (to the right) is built of stone, but the down side is a later addition in brick as at Shepton Mallet: see image [[26159]].
Alresford (Hampshire): LSWR Urie S15 4-6-0 30506, photographed at Alresford in June 1976, in the early days of the MHR. The view is eastwards with the station building out of shot immediately on the right. 30506 was subsequently restored and operated from 1987 to 2001. A further overhaul then ensued but it returned to steam again in 2019, in time for its centenary in October 2020. The rather stylish Vauxhall Viva estate is also now a point of interest in this image.

Perth Shed [HR]: Engineers train stabled outside the ex-HR shed at Perth in April 1955.
Black Rock: Volks Electric Railway car number 8 departing from the eastern terminus at Black Rock, on 21st June 2014. This 2ft. 8 and a half ins. gauge line along the seafront at Brighton in East Sussex is the world's first electric railway opened on 3rd August 1883 and is named after its engineer Magnus Volk (1851-1937) who was born and died in Brighton. A branch line, now lifted, previously diverged at Halfway and ran across Marina Drive into some workshops and where Magnus also had his office.
