Oxford: GWR 165130, arriving in Oxford to form the next service to Didcot, on 30th January 2020. Photographed through the doorway of a station shelter due to the inclement Oxford weather.
Milnthorpe: DRS 68018 'Vigilant' and 68017 'Hornet' top and tailed a single MkII coach from Derby to Motherwell on 12th February 2020. The short train with super-power is seen between the bridges at Elmsfield near Milnthorpe.
Fledborough: Fledborough viaduct is probably the longest railway bridge you have never heard of - half a mile long, and containing six million bricks (I checked). It even spans a county boundary, between Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, in the middle of the River Trent. View looks towards Lincoln on the well maintained Dukeries Trail.
Wensley: Closing the crossing gates at Wensley in November 2004. The DMU is on its way from Redmire to Leeming on the Wensleydale Railway.
Dunbar: A pair of Cross Country Voyagers call at the new platform at Dunbar, as seen from the equally new footbridge on 31st January 2020.
Chelmsford: Looking south along the elevated Chelmsford railway station from the down side, with the disused station signal box seen on the right.
Gilmerton: Cactus Gulch, EH17. A sculpture installation by the path that was once the Loanhead branch. Over the fence is Gilmerton Station Road which until very recently had only two houses, one of which was the station house. Housing development is under way from both ends.
Gospel Oak: 378201, with a London Overground service to Stratford, departing from Gospel Oak, on 3rd February 2020. The bay platform for the LO GOBLIN service to Barking is on the left; however, as at the date of this photo, trains are only running on this service as far as South Tottenham, due to a freight derailment east thereof that damaged the track, which is likely to be out of action for several more weeks as Network Rail repair things.
