Saxmundham: Greater Anglia 153314 approaches the level crossing at Benhall, to the south of Saxmundham, working from Ipswich to Lowestoft on 30th July 2019. It is reported that these single units, released by the arrival of new trains, will be going on short term lease to Transport for Wales.
Cheddleton: Well, you could hang your coat on it. This girder spotted in the Churnet Valley Railway engine shed is definitely better too long than too short.
Pollokshaws Viaduct: Royal Scot 46160 Queen Victoria's Rifleman crossing the viaduct over the White Cart at Pollokshaws on 31 August 1964 with the 5.30pm St Enoch - Carlisle.
Forden: A view towards Newtown from the former level crossing at Forden on 16 September 2019. The LC has now been closed and the road diverted but there still remains a foot crossing available. Although the station buildings have been rmoved, the station house (in private ownership) and the former signalbox remain.
Craigendoran: A walk along the trackbed of the line that once ran out onto Craigendoran Pier. Photograph taken on a wet day in June 2010, with a grey mist hanging over the Clyde. Meantime, over on the right, an early afternoon service from Helensburgh Central is about to make the first stop on its journey to Airdrie.
Stirling Middle Junction: An Edinburgh service passes Stirling Middle on 26 September 2019. I must be getting used to 385s as they no longer look quite so much like bad-tempered grubs.
Gunton: The station building at Gunton in Norfolk is no longer in railway use, situated on the disused platform and seen here from the ex-11.45 service from Norwich to Sheringham calling at the basic single platform opposite, on 25th June 2019.
Duddingston and Craigmillar: DRS 68006 passes Peffermill playing fields with stock for the evening commuter service to Cardenden on 27th August 2019.
Coatbridge Central: Colas 56078 heading towards Grangemouth with empty tanks from Prestwick on 30th August 2019.
Corrour Summit: B1 No. 61306 'Mayflower' and 37685 'Loch Arkaig' top and tail the southbound 'Steam Dreams - Highlands and Islands Explorer', nearing Corrour Summit. Corrour Station is in the distance. 15th May 2019.
