Coatbridge Central: A picture of Coatbridge Central station in the 1970's taken from a temporary wall on Coatbridge Main St. surronding the site of a demolished fire damaged building which depicts old scenes of Coatbridge.
Pitlochry: 66522, on a special working of empty engineer's wagons from Millerhill to Aviemore, powers through Pitlochry on 14th April 2019. In Platform 1 170430, on an Inverness to Edinburgh service, waits for the line to clear. These trains should have passed at Dunkeld but the passenger train had been delayed at Blair Atholl by 'animals on the line'.
Newtonhill: The 09.52 LNER service from Aberdeen to Kings Cross passes through the site of Newtonhill Station, closed in 1956.
Heathrow Terminal 5 [BAA]: A nostalgic sight taxying past Terminal 5 at Heathrow in March 2019. Boeing 747-400 G-BYGC has been repainted in BOAC livery to mark the 100th Anniversary of British Airways (and its predecessor companies). BOAC flew earlier variants of the Jumbo Jet and so this is an appropriate livery and looks magnificent. As part of the celebrations BA has also reliveried an Airbus A319 in BEA colours.
Farington Junction: Ian Riley's freshly overhauled Black 5s nos. 44871 and 45407 head 'The Citadel' railtour on 13 April 2019 from Manchester to Carlisle. The train is seen approaching Farington Jct where it will leave the WCML and head east towards Blackburn and Hellifield before heading north over the S&C.
Ilford Road: A quick check reveals that there are several streets called Ilford Road in England, though none of them are near ‘the’ Ilford in Essex. This station was opened for the then new Metro in 1980. It has no footbridge or crossing. An Airport train calls on 26 March 2019.
Roding Valley: LUL 1992 stock with a Central Line service to Woodford via Hainault at Roding Valley station on 27th July 2014. This station, on the GER's 1903 Hainault Loop, was not opened until 1936 by the LNER as Roding Valley Halt and was upgraded and rebuilt as a station for tube trains which followed completion of electrification of the former steam line from Woodford to Hainault (and from Woodford to Loughton) on 21st November 1948.
Carlisle: DRS 66304 waits at the end of platform 7 before returning to Kingmoor as the 1304 from Dumfries arrives at platform 8.
Baker Street: View down the interior of a Bombadier S8 train near Baker Street. A quiet times on straight sections of track it is possible to see down the whole length of the train from the end coaches.
Donibristle Halt: Freightliner 66548 leans into the curve on the decent of Donibristle bank with an Aberdeen - Millerhill engineers train on a dreich 7 April. 66518 is on the rear.
