Garth (Mid Glamorgan): The 1115 Maesteg to Cheltenham Spa service departs Garth on 23rd November 2018.
Stratford-upon-Avon: A modern step-free access bridge has been installed at Stratford since my last visit but thankfully the superb covered GWR footbridge has been retained. A Class 172 is newly arrived in Platform 1 from Stourbridge Junction on 21st November 2018. The passengers on the island platform are waiting for a Chiltern service from/to Leamington Spa. [See image 27201] from the same spot in 2010.
Huntly: Huntly signal box seen in 1997 before it was rebuilt and extended ([see image 8903] for a post extension view). This was formerly the south cabin.
Clydebank: A study of the station building at Clydebank, one of the many standard structures put up on electrified lines in the Glasgow area in the 1970s leaving few original buildings. In the background is the Clydebank Co-op's main store, one of conspicuously few pre-war buildings in the centre of a burgh devastated by enemy bombing in 1941.
Balgreen Halt: Class A2 60532 'Blue Peter' passing Balgreen Halt on the main line with a car carrying train in August 1961.
Boig Road Level Crossing: 66166 crosses Boig Road with a train from Greenburn opencast site heading for Eggborough Power Station in May 2011. Greenburn closed in 2018.
Haymarket: 221 124 Cross Country unit to Penzance at Haymarket station, Edinburgh on 16th May 2016.
Bury Bolton Street: BR Standard Class 9F 92214 at Bury Bolton Street station in August 2008. The diesel locomotive visible through the bridge is BR Class 40 D335, the only surviving split headcode Class 40.
Lancaster: A busy scene at Lancaster on 2nd December 2018. As a Pacer 144 departs for Leeds, and a 350 EMU arrives on a Manchester Airport service, Merchant Navy 35018 waits in Platform 3 with a 13-coach Santa special for Carlisle.
Baker Street: 99.99% of commuters passing through Baker Street station probably haven't noticed that the W.H.Smith Luncheon and Tea Rooms were restored in 1987.
